Purple Blazer & Red Pants | Van Gogh Exhibition In Pavillion Bukit Jalil

It's been almost one and a half years since my last post, but I'm not here to make myself feel bad about it, so I'm REALLY hoping no one else will attempt to do so either!

I'm not entirely sure if blogging is still something I'd like to do. I used to love sharing my outfits and whatever lifestyle images I put effort into snapping, and somehow my interests veered into other territories.

Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE dressing up; it's just that it's not in the way that I used to. The most important to note: I do NOT dress like what you're seeing here anymore nowadays. I've somehow become the kind of person who looks back at my old outfit photos and thinks, "Did I really come up with THAT outfit? How??"

I don't think it was a conscious effort to not dress the way I did before, but my circumstances definitely dictated it; living where I live now never ever requires a purple blazer, let alone wearing one with a pair of bright red pants!

These pics were taken in March 2023 — I KNOW, it's AGES AGO — when I went to the Van Gogh exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. I had so much fun that day, I still remember it! I started editing them a few weeks after that and these pics have sadly just been marinating in my Lightroom, but I really do love this outfit (plus I made my sister do a whole photoshoot at the venue), so it seems wasteful not to share them here.

My style has changed quite a bit now; in fact, I think some people might be extremely surprised at my wardrobe choices nowadays. I don't even wear jeans now, peeps, oh goodness I can't remember the last time I wore jeansss — much too uncomfortable!
I don't really wear prints now as much either (gasp, I know). Even my colourful maxi dresses have taken a backseat now.

My clothes rack is just abaya after abaya after jubah after jubah...... Liyana from 2023 would be confused if she time-travelled to the future of now and saw me, honestly!
But one thing about me still hasn't changed: I love all shades of colours, just as much as ever.

But also, now that I haven't been strutting around in Joker-esque purple blazer with red pants or anything of that sort, perhaps I look a bit less "obnoxious" than I did before, and that's never a bad thing, is it?

I actually have a bunch of unedited outfit photos on my laptop still and I honestly haven't decided if I would or should share them, but I have to say, it feels nice to be typing on my keyboard rather than on my iPhone; I happen to be an EXCELLENT laptop-typist and a terrible, terrible iPhone keyboard-typist (oh God so many typos), so I do miss this clackety-clack sounds and the feeling that comes with it.

I do miss this, so we will see!

In the meantime, I'm pretty active on Instagram stories (not sharing photos so much anymore there either, but you'll find me in stories most likely!) so you can find me there.

Also: FREE PALESTINE. Praying for an end to the genocide of my brothers, my sisters, and all OUR children there.

Take care my loves, until next ❤
