I don't think of myself as a beach person (gasp, I know); the sand sticking everywhere is (weirdly...?) a bit of a pet peeve of mine.
But even I get swayed when witnessing the bluest of the sky filled with wispy white clouds as the backdrop to clear blue-reflected water, lapping against the soft yellow sand that felt so pleasant underneath the feet.
It just does something to the soul, doesn't it?
And for that I really need to remedy this particular pet peeve, I think.

On this day I was wearing one of my favourite easy maxi dresses — the kind I just slip into and go — that for some reason I never photographed for the blog. I realised too late that as much as I love the black floral maxi dress, it's not the best thing to wear for a photoshoot in a windy area because in most shots I look like I put myself in a flappy tent or something. But I still felt cute in it! (And more importantly, breezy and super comfy during a hot sunny humid day!) My dress was even getting soaked to the knees area but I didn't mind at all, as the water just felt so glorious crashing around my legs.
Besides, the star of these photos is clearly ☼ ☁ not me ☼ ☁ so it's all good!
Thank you for reading this post! I'm looking forward to more easygoing beach trips like this, and I think we can expect more photos coming out of them too, perhaps...
Until my next post, ❤
Hello urban city sistah (I'm a small townie ehehe)! I can so relate about the sand getting everywhere and sometimes, the beach weather here is more humid than anything hahah. Must be so nice to be in a breezy dress like this at the beach. You look lovely as always and you are definitely one of the stars shining bright with the clouds, ocean and sand :D xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Shanaz, you're so kind <3
DeleteI don't know if you remember me saying how I wish I could feel safe just walking to a nearby park like you do? Well I still won't go to a nearby beach by myself (I have a paranoia of some sort) but I do feel safer going to beaches here, and I'm going more often now with my husband, and I'm loving the amount of fresh air I'm getting now!
