Photo Diary: Hong Kong Disneyland Scenes

If there is one thing I would change about my trip to Hong Kong Disneyland in December last year (last year as in 2019 sorry my bad I know how late this post is, but better late than never!), it would be to bring a normal lens for my camera which would have been good to capture sceneries; I only carried my macro lens which I always use for my outfit photos.

Nevertheless, you know what really mattered in the end? I went to DISNEYLAND!
(Also, thank God for iPhone cameras.)

We headed straight to the hotel after arriving in Hong Kong in the afternoon and immediately got ready for our first day in the park. Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest Disneyland so with a two-day park ticket in our hand, we didn't have to rush trying out every single ride we had our eyes on and had our most relaxing Disneyland trip ever. Well, as relaxing as a Disneyland trip could be, anyway.

Day 1

The moment we walked into the park, we saw a line forming for a meet-and-greet session with Minnie Mouse and Pluto. Seeing as how I went through the trouble to Disneybound as Miss Minnie so of course we made a beeline for it!

I swore off riding the RC Racer when it felt like my heart popped out of my body when I was riding it in Disneyland Paris, but I was wondering if enough years had passed for me to like it again. Verdict: nope, not enough, I'm back to never wanting to ride it again, thank you very much!

One of the things I really wanted to do was try out the halal food available in HK Disneyland and honestly, the taste could have been better but halal food in a foreign country is always a huge plus.

Shah and I manage to catch the night parade, too!

Day 2

We had an entire day at the park! There weren't many people at HK Disneyland due to the ongoing protests (which I mentioned in this post) so we took our time to absorb everything; we managed to "meet" more Disney characters including Moana, Genie from Aladdin, and Captain Marvel (those pics of me are too embarrassing to share, sorry peeps) and as you can see, I even got to pass by a couple of Princesses (and like a Disney nerd, waved at them with the cheesiest grin on my face).

Our favourite rides are always the fastest and thrilling ones in the park (with the exception of RC Racer, for me) but I love virtual rides like the StarWars too.

We appreciate food as much as the rides so it was exciting to discover a good vegetarian burger in one of the restaurants in the park, too!

I'm a sucker for Disney's merc, especially their kitchenware, so I was excited to find some good stuff to bring back home including some mugs and Beauty and The Best themed lamps, which I still haven't brought to my home here in Johor, so it'll be a while until I get to share those!

There are many more photos but I'm not going to bore you guys any further with them, but anyway I hope you enjoy perusing through the ones that are shared here. I might share the scenes around the Disneyland hotels we stayed at as well, so until my next post!

    1. Thank you Tina! I'm really glad you enjoy the many photos here. The reason I like sharing my more personal photos here is also for me to access them more easily in the future when I'm feeling nostalgic, so I suppose I shouldn't be shy about sharing them. I feel like I'm more encouraged to share my other Disney photos now though =D And thank you for reading my post and commenting, I truly appreciate your support <3
