How are we already two months away from a new year? It's cliche when people say "Where did the time go?" but, um, fo realz, guys, why does time feel accelerated in 2018?
I can assure you, I definitely did not feel 2017 moving this fast, so I'm puzzled. A real puzzler.
Now that I have established my feelings about the speed of time of 2018, let's get on with my five recent updates:
After finishing the exciting Crazy Rich Asians trilogy on my Italy trip, I've been clueless as to what book to read next. Julie & Julia and The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck have been lying abandoned somewhere in my house after my interest in them waned, not even really halfway through.

Now that I have established my feelings about the speed of time of 2018, let's get on with my five recent updates:
1. Netflix & Not Being Able To Literally Chill
I started watching How To Get Away With Murder on Netflix and while I can't say it's my most favourite show ever (the twists + suspense were getting overwhelming), it's interesting enough to keep me entertained.
That is, until I watched the first episode of Daredevil; I am now officially hooked on the actions of the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and his hobby to break his enemy's bones. In the meantime, HTGAWM would have to wait (only for the time being, don't worry HTGAWM fans!).
My younger sister is bingeing on American Horror Story right now and from her graphic descriptions about some scenes, I know for sure that that is one show I don't want to touch.
On that note, what are YOU currently watching on Netflix?
2. What Book Next?
After finishing the exciting Crazy Rich Asians trilogy on my Italy trip, I've been clueless as to what book to read next. Julie & Julia and The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck have been lying abandoned somewhere in my house after my interest in them waned, not even really halfway through.
I've yet to find a book I can immerse myself in. My friend suggested I tried Neil Geiman so I might look into that the next time I pop into a bookstore.
Care to suggest a good book?
3. Modest Style
Clozette wrote a post on modest dressing. Plus, yours truly's photo is one of the examples of the modest style, so how about having a read?
4. Fresh Colour Palette
Did anyone notice I change the colour palette of my blog? Trying hard not to change my entire blog template so soon, so I thought fresh colours and fonts could help for the time being!
5. Staycations
Shah had some meetings and other job requirements to attend in Kuala Lumpur so I got to indulge in some staycations in hotels around KL/Petaling Jaya, which have been lovely. For me and only me, of course; I'd be napping and taking baths in marble-walled bathrooms while my husband works his butt off. I do have a thing for #ThatHotelLife! (Breakfast buffets and cosy beds are my weakness.)
Pretty view from the Sheraton Petaling Jaya hotel

So, what's new with you?
What a nice change of pace you've created with this low key, "what's on my mind" favorite stuff, blog entry Liyanna! Love, Jude
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying reading this. Will try to do more of it in the future my dear Judy! <3
