I loved the makeshift modern-traditional black baju kurung I wore last month for an open house, so here's another one using the same "formula", comprised of an old peplum forest green top that I always wore with pants and this printed skirt which is the bottom half of an actual baju kurung I have (the top half is made from exactly the same fabric).
This was a relatively simple Eid outfit, entirely made up of old things from my closet — with the exception of the woven bag, that is, which I discovered at Pekan Rabu the day before Eid! I didn't even put much makeup on, settling just for concealing and powdering, a streak of black liner on the eye, the tiniest amount of blush and a slick of the nudest lipstick I own.
Do you prefer this forest green makeshift outfit or the black one? Let me know down below!
Happy weekend guys ♡
Wearing: Forest green peplum top from Berjaya Times Square | tailor-made mermaid baju kurung skirt | Zara ballet flats | Woven basket bag from Pekan Rabu
Oh my! This green top with the swath of gorgeous blue in your hijab is actually wuite breathtaking Liyana!! I think I favor this one over the black (and that was exceptionally pretty!) Perhaps it's the green and blue combination tat just xeemx xo dramatic and flatters your complexion but whoa!, I really love this Baju Kurung! Love, Jude
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part about this outfit is the bright sapphire blue too, I would've never thought to combine bright blue and forrest green if they weren't already in the skirt. Glad you like this outfit <3
DeleteSuch a gorgeous tropical green number. Your coordinating a peplum top with a kurung skirt from a different set is simply on point. As for the bag, you know I love it! It's a neutral piece that contrasts beautifully with the boldness of your Eid OOTD. I also love those edgy shoes. Is there a combination that you do that I don't like, though? It's never happened! Stay fashunn love. And a happy belated Eid to you :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteNever thought to pair such bold shades of blue and green together if they weren't already in that kain baju kurung! This is probably why shopping for kain to make into baju kurung used to make me so excited =)
DeleteI am POSITIVE not every single outfit I've ever worn works, but I'd like to think I constantly learn from my mistakes (well, I hope so!). Thank you for your encouragement, Shanaz, always <3
