I decided not to bother with any top-layering for the second day of my 2017 F1 Sepang experience, unlike the day before in my bird of paradise matching babydoll top and skirt and stuck with a top that I could wear just fine on its own. I wish I could just wear the trumpet skirt as is, too, but the skirt's lining was a bit short for my hijab-clad self so an extra (super thin) skirt was still needed underneath.

PS: In your opinion, which do you think is the "star" of this outfit?

If anyone's interested to know about Race Day result: Red Bull, like last year, won the race again (it was like Verstappen's 20th birthday present to himself — he's freakin' TWENTY guysss), but at least Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton got onto the podium this year, as opposed to not even finishing the race in 2016.
On another note, I was a Nico Rosberg fan before he left Mercedes and got to witness him climbing the podium last year when he won second place! Shah and I even almost got to meet Hamilton and Rosberg at their meet-and-great in KLCC mall a couple of days before the 2016 F1 weekend, but no luck in the end! Ah well.
PS: You can read that story in this outfit post featuring Adidas floral t-shirt and my favourite denim jacket evah!

:-)I'm really hard pressed to pick my most favorite part of this outfit Liyana. It's all SO GOOD!! The pattern mixing of your scarf and that great leopard top are my favorite complimentary pieces but adding that cool feminine skirt to the outfit really adds that unexpected contradiction that I love in a look. You look wonderfully sophisticated, sporty and fun all at once. Love, Jude
ReplyDeleteI figured out everything about this outfit except the scarf at first; I struggled with choosing a plain red one or a printed one, and if printed one, which??
DeleteI'm glad you liked the mix-and-match result. This scarf is actually one of the very first scarves I bought, about 5 years before I took the "hijab plunge", AND it is also the scarf I wore on my first day as a hijabi. It's very, very special to me.
Hé, I am Dutch! So it was a fantastic race for is! As like in Mexico!
