I grew up watching Beetlejuice and it gave me nightmares, so safe to say I can't even fully comprehend my own obsession with it — can't tell you guys how many times I've said "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice" (or "Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse", whichever way you look at it) in the past just to prove to myself how not intimidated I was by the idea of him actually appearing.
ALL I need is a striped black-and-white blazer to match my pants, and my goal to one day look like the female hijabi version of Beetlejuice would be achieved. (Perhaps I just really like vertical thick black-and-white stripes...? Like I LOVE this bag, too.)
Wearing: Levi's vintage jacket (last seen in this denim-on-denim look) | Cotton On t-shirt | Mango pants | Amori shoes | Meters/Bonwe bag (without the Mickey ears!)
I want you to know that the home I grew up in had a witch in the closet and a ghost in the basement. I totally get your Beetlejuice fixation. Clearly you've turned it into a positive impact by incorporating it into "your style" and it's unique and fun! I only hope that Mickey doesn't become jealous! I love you in that vibrant yellow human. The color is lovely with your complexion Liyana. Love, Jude
A witch and a ghost, oh my! However did you go around the house! =D
I think I have plenty of space for BOTH Beetlejuice and Mickey in my closet. But owning an all-out Beetlejuice seem more urgent right this moment, somehow...
I've been wanting to pair yellow with black and white for a while, so I'm happy with what I have here! The colours do go well together, don't they? I find that not all yellow works on my complexion (I suppose it's the same for most people, come to think of it) but I agree with you, there's something about this particular bright yellow hue that just feels right on me. Perhaps I should find more ways to incorporate it into my closet? (I've found another excuse to shop more in the future I think!)
YESSS THANK YOUUU. I think you will probably see me in more yellow very soon. It would almost be a disservice to myself if I DON'T get more yellow things, wouldn't it? ;)
I'd love to have a conversation with you about my post. Please share your thoughts & I'll reply as soon as I can!
