Never Learning Some Lessons : Polka Dots + Denims

When I was younger, I used to go to those little pop-up bazaars all the time and bought heaps of my closet's fillers from them. Over time I discovered that with their sub par quality, they're not exactly the best investments to make. The things you see there are also usually trendy pieces that won't last the test of time, so I made a conscious decision not to make impulsive purchases at bazaars anymore.

But then, whaddayaknow, I decided to go "Psych!" on myself when I saw this long shirt dress.

It's a puzzler that even with all these lessons I collected from past experiences, I still buckled when I saw this polka dot, button-down long shirt at a pop-up bazaar last year. 'Sup with that, right? The only logic explanation I can come up with is I just really, really, really wanted a polka dot, button-down long shirt.

And you know what darn it I LAVS IT. I even deemed it special enough to wear on the first day in Tokyo earlier this month. (It's a weird thing I have: special outfit for a special first day.)

So, I guess, never say never...?
