That fire-engine red colour, I mean, seriously, Lady Danger is a force to be reckoned with. It's a shade so bold and beautiful that I couldn't help but fall in love with it—but then it TOTALLY intimidates me at the same time.
Let's break The Good and The Bad of MAC Matte Lady Danger, shall we?:
- SUCH a gorgeous and elegant orange-red shade
- Brightens up face
- Long-lasting
- Doesn't bleed
The Bad
- Surprisingly not as opaque as I wish it to be
To be honest I'm a little surprise I liked Lady Danger this much as I wasn't a big fan of another matte MAC lipstick I have, All Fired Up; All Fired Up has such a beautiful purple-pink hue that I love but felt wrong on my lips. For some reason Lady Danger isn't as dry as my All Fired Up tube, plus Lady Danger lasts a whole lot longer on my lips which is a mystery to me as they both have the same formulae. I'm just going to need to give All Fired Up another go, I suppose.
I absolutely love MAC Lady Danger; I feel like it's such a special shade that I need to save for special occasions, which is how I treat my favourite clothes. I suppose I'm just a little odd like that...
I do find that it doesn't completely cover the discolouration on my lips as well as I'd like it to, which isn't such a big deal as I'm totally open to having up to five coats of lipstick on. Just swipe on the lipstick a few more times, girl.
I feel like such a late bloomer with Lady Danger as I know so many lipstick aficionados out there have had this lipstick in their makeup bag for years and years and YEARS and I've only gotten around to trying it out early this year, but better late than never, they say.
MAC Matte Lady Danger lipstick is available in MAC stores and online for RM 74.
Do you own a Lady Danger? Are you in love with it as much as I do?
