Let's break down the good and the bad of MAC All Fired Up lipstick:
The Good
- Amazing, vibrant colour! The colour is like deep fuchsia—maybe pink-red with the tiniest hint of purple running through it
- Brightens up complexion
The Bad
- A little too dry for me
- Not long-lasting
- Needs brush for application
This is a colour that I feel is suitable for all skin tones. It's versatile enough to be paired with light smokey eyes or on a plain nude face. I was recommended MAC lip liner in Trust In Red to pair with this lipstick and they seem to be quite the perfect match.
For a matte lipstick, which I think is supposed to be more long-lasting (isn't it?), it wipes off way too easily. A brush is needed to really get the lipstick right into the creases of the lips or else it just "sits" on top of my lips. It really helps to blend blend blend with a good brush.
The super matte effect dries up my lips so a good lip balm is needed underneath this lipstick. Another way for me to combat the dryness: adding a moisturising lip gloss on top of it, and I'm all set.

Overall verdict: Love the incredible pop of colour this lipstick provides. The lipsticks in MAC matte range are a little drying for my already-dry lips but that that isn't going to stop me from trying out the other amazing matte bright colours though as MAC really does know how to produce the best and the most intriguing lipstick colours.
MAC All Fired Up is priced at RM 74 and Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Trust In Red is RM 90.
