I've bought three pharmacie / pharmacy / drugstore foundations this year—L'oreal True Match, Maybelline Fit Me and this one—and this is my favourite out of the three.
The Good
- Has a pump (always a plus)
- Natural-looking
- Semi-dewy
- Evens out skin
- Coverage is not bad at all (still needs a good concealer)
- Affordable
- Skin turns a little oily after a few hours (better oil control than L'oreal True Match or Maybelline Fit Me)
- Shade isn't completely spot on (but good enough)
- Shade changes over time
The shade 402 Bronze is unfortunately not available in Paris but luckily I already had a trip to England planned before discovering this foundation. I made a beeline for the first Superdrug I saw in Manchester to get this (and some other products too, of course).
Swatches, comparing Rimmel Perfect Match 402 Bronze on the right with L'oreal True Match W7 on the left:
Final verdict: I'm happy I got to experiment with Rimmel Match Perfect foundation as it's a nice enough foundation, coming from a pharmacy / drugstore, but I won't repurchase.

Hi as an NC 43 I found the following to be of a closer match.
ReplyDeleteMaxfactor CC cream in Bronze was spot on, with yellow undertones
Maybelline BB cream 8 in 1 medium-deep
Revlon nearly naked toast was a tad darker but tan lacked the yellow undertone
Loreal golden caramel was spot on ....
I will definitely try rimmel
Thanks for sharing, Supriya! I've never thought of trying Max Factor CC cream or Maybelline BB Cream but i'm intrigued now...
